TESTIMONIALS:
“I cannot thank you enough for the opportunity
you gave me this past week.
I have learned so much about myself. I feel better equipped
to handle any adversities that cross my way. I am even
able to look at my work in another light. Instead of seeing
it as going to an office to waste my time, I can actually
see it now as an opportunity to improve myself while being
paid for it.
My entire outlook at life has been adjusted. To change
it completely, I still have more introspection to do.
I will be working through the Training Manual again, as
well as your Self Coaching e-book from your website.
I am very proud of my level of intelligence and am able
to use it daily to improve and expand my frame of reference
while educating myself and raising my worth. This is something
that I believe will help me to achieve my dreams and fulfil
the expectations of my five year plan.
I am extremely fortunate to have met you and everyone
else at the workshop. The impact you have on my life cannot
be measured. I can feel a change inside myself but, the
responsibility still lies with me...
I can keep on changing and improving, or take the easy
way out and just go back to where I was before the workshop.
Going back is not an option for me, because I know what
is there. I was there and don't want or need to be there
anymore. There are so many good things lying in wait for
me on my journey and I am so excited just thinking about
it.
Once again, I just want to thank you from the bottom of
my heart for granting me the opportunity. I am forever
grateful.
God Bless. Riaan.” 1 August 2009
“I attended Success Factory’s coaches training
at the end of July 2009. During training I reached heights
I never thought possible. I use to complain about everything.
A perfectionist of note, always pushing and nothing was
ever good enough. There was no balance - and it was driving
me to the edge. I kept on going in circles and didn’t
know where to turn to. I knew I wanted to achieve something,
but I was channelling my energy in too many directions...
which led me nowhere.
Elsabé’s coaches training opened my eyes.
It helped me to find me. I now have long-term goals and
short-term goals! I have also come to realise that my
passions are not necessarily what I should be doing as
a career and that sometimes you need to walk along the
river to find the right place to cross. I also listen
now... and started building a good relationship with my
manager - something I didn’t have before. (I was
almost out of a job because of this!)
I feel like a winner now because I have a newfound inner-peace.
The value of one’s mistakes lie in the learning
of the lessons. I have come to realise that my journey
is perfect for the lessons I have to learn!
Thank you Elsabé.
Carmen.”
WHAT IS COACHING?
Coaching is a partnership between a coach and
an individual or team that supports the achievement of
extraordinary results, based on goals set by the individual
or team. Through the process of coaching, individuals
focus on the skills and actions needed to successfully
produce their personally relevant results.
The individual or team chooses the focus of conversation,
while the coach listens and contributes observations and
questions as well as concepts and principles which can
assist in generating possibilities and identifying actions.
Through the coaching process the clarity that is needed
to support the most effective actions is achieved. Coaching
accelerates the individual's progress by providing greater
focus and awareness of possibilities leading to more effective
choices. Coaching concentrates on where individuals are
now and what they are willing to do to get where they
want to be in the future.
THE ROLE OF THE COACH:
 |
To engage the
coachee in conversation utilising specific communications
skills and questioning techniques to lead the coachee
to answers, new possibilities, resolutions, decisions
and insights; |
 |
To provide objective
assessment and observations that foster the individual’s
or team members’ enhanced self-awareness and
awareness of others; practice astute listening in
order to garner a full understanding of the individual’s
or team’s circumstances; |
 |
Be a sounding
board in support of possibility thinking and thoughtful
planning and decision making; |
 |
Identify and champion
opportunities and potential; |
 |
Encourage, stretch,
challenge and commensurate with personal strengths
and aspirations; |
 |
Foster the shifts
in thinking that reveal fresh perspectives; |
 |
Challenge blind
spots in order to illuminate new possibilities; |
 |
Support the creation
of alternative scenarios; |
 |
Maintains professional boundaries in
the coaching relationship, including confidentiality,
and adheres to the coaching profession’s code
of ethics. |
